I received a lovely surprise. A sister in Atlanta took up coordination of this quilt made by various people who have been praying for me. The quilt represents people from all over the U.S.A. and even as far as Germany!
A very special thanks to Sheree Hsu and all the ones who participated in this project. Your loving heart and kindness brought tears to my eyes. Many of you I haven't see for years and it was so sweet to see your names on this quilt —to know that I am remembered and that you are all "covering" me with your prayers! The past few days I have been using this quilt and it is a constant reminder that you are all supporting me and caring for me despite the physical distance. I feel such love from the Body of Christ (the Church) and truly cherished.
Furthermore, I'd like to thank also the Young People and serving ones in the church in New York City. I receive this care package which included a wonderful journal/ scrapbook of letters from all of them and it warmed my heart to read each and every one. I miss you all and still pray for many of you. Many thanks!
On to my health update:
My back pain had been worsening over the past months. My oncologist had urge me not to get a back adjustment until after the CT scan. Due to the medical jargon of my results I did not fully comprehend them. I spoke again with my oncologist on Monday to find out more. He revealed to me that there was no cancer spread to bones and that the region of concern near my pelvic bone and base of spine was clear of any tumors. Therefore it was safe for me to get adjusted. However, My oncologist doesn't believe in chiropractors. So he refused to agree with me going.
I waited two more days and prayed a lot. The pain of misalignment was getting unbearable. I could not sleep through the night, constantly adjusting my position due to pains, tingles and zaps. I finally made an appointment and saw my chiropractor on Wednesday. We had a thorough discussion of my situation and he felt that it was totally safe for me to to get this adjustment. He reminded me that he treated people who have osteoporosis and other bone illnesses and would exercise the same precautions with my back. (My oncologist thought that he could possibly fracture my weak, frail bones.) My oncologist was able to correct some of the areas that were causing pains. However, because I had not been adjusted sooner many small joint in the sacral area were stuck. So he corrected what he could for that day. I feel a bit better but still quite sore from this adjustment as it was a bit more involved than ones I have had in the past. Please pray for a speedy recovery in my back.
Also, I just resumed chemotherapy Friday March 15th. This worries me also. It may delay the healing of sore muscles which have been trying to support me when my bones were misaligned for months. Thanks to Miriam for taking me to my six hour chemo session.
